Each Partee Racing engine build receives a new or rebuilt oil pump.  BMW stopped making new S62 oil pumps a couple of years ago, and BMW's prices for new oil pumps for other models continue to increase at an obnoxiously rapid rate.  Thus, we started our S62 and S54 oil pump rebuild service a number of years ago.  We disassemble and ultrasonically clean your pump's components, REM polish the gearset, reassemble with a light coating of assembly lube and red loctite, and replace the tensioner and if necessary, the internal spring.  REM polishing of the gearset resolves the principal wear characteristic exhibited by a used pump or one that has been in an engine that experienced catastrophic failure.
