2023 Mercedes Benz e63s AMG Performance Calibration (DME Tune)
Looking for a 2023 e63s Tune? We have been developing software for the M177 engine for quite a long time, with testing information dating back as far as 2017. The M177 has proven to be a solid workhorse with few downsides, and has stood the test of time with some clients logging over 40,000 miles at 700+ WHP (dynojet). Additionally, should you desire to push the limits north of 2 BAR, on the quest for 750+ WHP, our Calibrations Engineer Utku has 100% factory-like calibrations already dialed to ensure proper engine management at this output.
What kind of gains will I see?
  • Stage 1 91 octane (95 RON): 15% HP / 20% TQ
  • Stage 1 93 octane: 17% HP / 20% TQ
  • Stage 2 91 octane: 21% HP / 25% TQ
  • Stage 2 93 octane: 25% HP / 25% TQ
  • Stage 3 93 Octane: 50% HP / 50% TQ
  • Stage 3 93 + Methanol: 65% HP / 55% TQ
  • Stage 3 E85 fuel: 80% HP / 60% TQ
  • Stage 3 Race Gasoline: 80% HP / 60% TQ
Tuning your 2023 e63s AMG:
First and foremost, it is likely that your vehicle is equipped with a CPC Module. If you happen to have this module on your vehicle, not to worry. The CPC Module has many functions, but there are two core functions related to tuning that we must address: VMAX and Torque Limitations. VMAX, also known as a Governor or Speed Limiter is exactly that. Torque Limitations tables exist to manage/limit torque output for various reasons. The DME (Engine Control Unit) and CPC Module both have VMAX and Torque Limitations.
What does that mean for me?
If you have no desire to eliminate vmax, you can run a Stage 1 tune with no problems. If your desire is to eliminate vmax and run a Stage 1 Tune, we can eliminate VMAX in the DME. From there, simply code it out of the CPC, and tuning is complete. If your desire is to eliminate vmax and run a Stage 2 Tune, we can eliminate VMAX in the DME, and simply code it out of the CPC, but we will need to slightly de-calibrate torque to 'work around' the torque limitations of the CPC Module and still make the full power that our Stage 2 tune offers. This is common practice among tuners but it is a strategy best developed on a dyno, as we have done. Finally, if your desire is to run a Stage 3 Tune, we assume you also wish to eliminate VMAX and in order properly achieve the full power available from a Stage 3 Tune, engine torque must be accurately calibrated in the software to maintain full OEM-Like functionality.  To achieve this, a custom tuned CPC Module ($1750) is required. Do I need a flash tool?
For Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuning you will need a flash tool only for remote tuning. Alternatively, a mail-in bench flash option is also available, and of course in-person appointments are also welcome. For Stage 3 Tuning, you will often have multiple maps for multiple fueling options such as Ethanol, Methanol, and Race Gas.  We recommend purchasing a myGenius for this tune, so that you may switch files whenever you desire without our help.
Running Ethanol with my 2023 e63s Tune:
While the M177 Engine when upgraded with Turbos absolutely loves Ethanol, the high pressure fuel pumps do not. In order to run Ethanol mixtures to make use of upgraded turbochargers, upgraded High Pressure Fuel Pumps are necessary. Depending on the pumps purchased, and the blend of fuel that is ran, it is possible to see more than 850 WHP (Dynojet).
