Our version of the BMW S54 stroker is based on what we believe is the best widely available stroker crank on the market today--Arrow's gorgeously engineered and manufactured 97mm stroker crank, available exclusively through VAC Motorsports. After having explored almost every other available source for stroker cranks, Arrow emerged as the best. It is dimensionally perfect to within .0002" right out of the box, every time. And it is durable. We recently extracted one from an engine that experienced catastrophic failure, and it was as if the crankshaft had never been run at all. It increases the price of the overall engine quite a bit, but one gets what one pays for in this particular instance. Paired with Carrillo or Arrow rods, custom CP pistons, Schrick 288/280 camshafts and DLC rockers, and Supertech's lash cap conversion kit installed in a cylinder head ported with our proprietary CNC program results in a ridiculously smooth S54 that hits in well in excess of 400whp in race trim (well in excess of 380 whp in street trim) and has dramatically increased torque throughout the RPM range ("there's no replacement for displacement") with a good carbon intake, exhaust, and tune. If you want the pinnacle of a reliable, streetable 380-4oowhp version of an S54, this is your engine. Includes the same principal features of our S54 Club Race engine, such as Beisan, VAC and BMW vanos upgrades, custom ground lash caps, and REM polished rocker arms and vanos gears. Price below does not include the $2500 core charge if applicable. Se the Core Charge Policy for details.
