lightened dual-mass flywheel, machined on our CNC lathe to accept the Sachs clutch and lightened to shed approximately 10lbs. of rotational weight, enabling your S62 to rev more easily and more freely and reducing drivetrain loss. Exactly what your s62 deserves.
This setup mirrors the “high clamp” Sachs clutch kit previously sold by Dinan for over $1,900 and closely matches the $1,400 lightened flywheel from Einhorn Industries—yet we offer both together for over
$650 less.
The sole difference between our flywheel and Einhorn's is that we machine the inner "lip" of the flywheel down to accept the Sachs clutch in accordance with Sachs's instructions, so YOU don't have to incur the additional cost of having your local machine shop do it! We install this kit on all of the E39 M5s that we renovate. The clutch grabs well and puts the power down well, and the uprated pressure plate is not SO uprated as to tire you out and make you feel like you have been doing squats! We know you will love it.
